Shipping has invested heavily in digitalisation for ten years. Sensors, IoT, maintenance systems, electronic logbooks. Yet a large share of operational information is still created by hand by the crew, in formats no other system can use. BIMCO estimates crews spend 20 to 30 hours a month on manual documentation.

Maranics captures that data where it arises, as part of the task itself rather than as a report afterwards. Every completed task is logged with role, time, asset, position and evidence, and distributed on to maintenance systems, business systems and analytics. The platform is API-first and event-driven, and works when the connection doesn't.
